Dr. Vanderneck was born into a military family in Fairbanks, Alaska. After a short stint there as a child, the Vanderneck's would call Bellevue, Nebraska home for a majority of his childhood. A graduate of Bellevue East Senior High in 1985, a wide-eyed Christopher set off for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His journey would then take him to Nuclear Engineering School in Orlando, Florida, where he spent 5 years aboard submarines before returning to Nebraska to receive his Doctor of Medicine Degree.

Dr. Vanderneck knows no other facility than Henderson Health Care. He began part-time with HHC in 1999, eventually becoming a full-time Primary Care Physician in 2002. HHC can thank his wife, Linda, for directing his path back toward her hometown. Together the Vanderneck's have a pair of daughters, Eve and Isabelle. In his spare time, Dr. Vanderneck enjoys riding his motorcycle, boating, and even brewing his own beer.

When asked why Henderson Health Care, Dr. Vanderneck said, "I knew when I went to Med School that I wanted to practice in a rural area. The more remote, the better. Henderson was that perfect rural area and I never looked back."
