Nutrition Services & Counseling
Services
Henderson Health Care’s registered dietitian (RD) is licensed by the State of Nebraska to provide clinical nutrition services to Henderson Community Hospital patients, Legacy Square, and Rosewood Court residents and members of the community.
Dietitians work closely with physicians, nurses, and other professional staff to meet individual nutritional needs. All newly-admitted hospital patients are screened for nutritional risk and offered nutrition education as indicated.
The department provides nutritional assistance for medical conditions such as:
Weight Loss
Diabetes
Cardiovascular disease
Cancer

The outpatient nutritional counseling program focuses on helping individuals learn to make healthy food choices and lifestyle changes. Patient Feedback
“My husband and I were passing though on our way east to see family when my appendix ruptured. Luckily the hospital was a few miles away from our campground. The staff was very caring and attentive. I feel very fortunate that we were so close to this small, but wonderful hospital.”
